Teething Cookies

Meghan tried a teething cookie today...and really seemed to like it! We had to chase the dog off a few times as she was more interested in sharing, but hey, she's learning good habits young! *wink*

New Car Seat

We got one of Meghan's new carseats tonight...at quite a deal, I might add. Mary Jane and I went to Wal*Mart with the intentions of getting Meghan some veggies and a photo hanger for her memory board...well, we wandered into the baby section (OK, surprise, surprise) and I was looking at the seats and there was an Evenflo Triumph Convertible seat...for $50! It's a $130 seat ($140 if you get it at Babies 'R Us)... It went right in the cart. The picture isn't the exact pattern, but it's close enough. I can't believe she's getting big enough for a "Big Girl" seat!!! Oh My!

Ms. Meghan tried on her rightful headpiece today...and then tried one on like Mommy's... :-)

We also got her "Drop and Roar Dinosaur" today...I think she's more in love with the balls that came with it, but she'll grow with it, I suppose!

Meghan's First Cold...or something like it

Meghan woke up verrry early this morning with what seems like her first cold. Very congested; rattly. She didn't want to lay down at all and only slept if at an incline...we spent the night sleeping in the recliner...which I didn't mind too much, she won't be little enough long!

I've found she's a "Mommy's Girl" when she's sick though...all she wanted was to snuggle and lean against me...

6 Month Appointment

We had Meghan's 6 mo appointment today. 2 and a half hours later (yep, that's 2 1/2) we finally left. The staff claimed they were busy, but how busy could they really be if they were talking about CAULIFLOWER and laughing at the desk? I was beyond mad, not to mention an hour late for work (thankfully there were enough people working and I have an understanding Sgt).

Miss Meghan is off the charts with height/weight. I forgot to bring the card to work with me, but she weighed 20lbs and change and was just over 28 inches tall.

She got the oral vaccine, which she did WONDERFULLY with...then the three shots and she didn't cry until the last one and only for a few minutes. She had one crying spurt (she was up at 4am and hadn't napped yet) and promptly passed out just in time for the shots.

It's been almost a month...I know...

Meghan's got another new tooth! And if I'm right, I feel a third coming in...holy moly time is flying.

Her room is almost done, finally. Daddy came down and helped on Monday. I can't wait until she's in her room...as much as I love having her right near me, I dislike the fact that I can't really get anything done at night for fear of waking her up. We bought the carpet today, the pad is down (didn't even know Dad had dropped it off; I wasn't home)...the carpet itself will be installed tomorrow. Then the crib can go upstairs and time permitting, Scott's going to pick up a piece or two of the furniture... I can't wait!

Then hopefully we can get everything in and settled in time for my day off Monday - I'll use that to get everything set up.
