A few hours in L&D later...

I spent 2 hours in Labor and Delivery EARLY Sunday morning (12:10a-2:00a). When I left work Saturday night I made the realization that I hadn't felt Meghan move since that afteroon...and I actually had ice cream that night, so I know she should have been bouncing around (she loves sugar *smile*)... I called L&D to see what their thoughts were...whether I should call Dr Evanczyk tonight, tomorow or what... I spoke with an INCREDIBLE nurse (named Jen) who after hearing the history told me to come right in. I got there at 12:10. They had me give a urine specimen (traces of glucose (new) and protein (not a new thing)... She took my blood pressure (138/84...not bad for where I've been), noted the swelling I was having and then hooked me up to the monitor... Meghan did not want her heartrate to be found. 15 minutes later, she relented. She had managed to skootch herself all the way into my left rib area... Her heartrate was between 160-190...She had periodic drops into the 90's, however, the RN wasn't concerned. They made me drink more OJ, made me eat a sandwich (that I almost puked up on them - not good) and then drink more water... About 10 minutes after the OJ Meghan started beating the heck right out of the monitoring dopplers :-P They talked to the Dr on call who told me that I was able to go home, but to make sure to call Dr E on Monday as I may be needing bed rest thanks to the urinary symptoms and swelling that I had. So that's the update for now... I'll know more on Monday.
